In 2024, we provided 2200 Calgary students with warm winter coats, snow pants, mitts and hats.
We are a small but mighty team of volunteers with the clear focus of providing winter outerwear for all Calgary students so that they are ready to take on the colder months that lay ahead.
38 Years of Jacket Racket in Calgary
Jacket Racket has been providing clean, gently used winter jackets to Calgary students, from kindergarten to grade 12, since the 1980’s. The project runs every year from mid-October to mid-November. Coats, snow pants, hats and mittens are collected, sorted and distributed by a group of dedicated volunteers. The distribution is done through the Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary Catholic School District.
